Loehr Chiropractic Will Stretch Out In New Digs At Farmers Park

Loehr Health Center moves to Farmers Park celebration announcement

Springfield, MO – Loehr Chiropractic & Acupuncture is expanding with a new, state-of-the-art clinic that will occupy the remaining leasable ground-floor space opposite the market pavilion at Farmers Park.

Opened by owner Dr. Steven Loehr in 2014, the family-style chiropractic clinic has an office on East Sunshine Street in Springfield and another in Weaubleau in Hickory County. Loehr said Farmers Park is a “natural fit” for the new clinic, which will inhabit 12,000 square feet that formerly housed Staxx, Jellybeans, Ellecor Interior Design and Studio 417 Salon. Infill work is underway, and Nesbitt Construction is handling demolition.

“Farmers Park shares the same core values we do of promoting health and wellness in our community,” Dr. Loehr said. “We’re excited to have a collaborative clinic where providers with different backgrounds can come together and deliver a truly holistic, patient-centric approach to healthcare.”

The Farmers Park clinic, which is targeting an early 2020 opening, will offer new services such as primary care, physical therapy and functional medicine. Loehr’s preventive approach blends traditional and nontraditional remedies to treat patients with recurring pain
and a range of injuries.

“Our new clinic will be a place where Western and Eastern medicine come together,” Dr. Loehr said. “Our focus will be treating patients without medications or referring for surgery until we’ve tried other options like chiropractic, nutrition and physical therapy.”

Dr. Loehr is particularly excited about the clinic’s proximity to the weekly Farmers Market of the Ozarks, which brings thousands of people to the park every Saturday morning to peruse fresh produce and handmade crafts from the Ozarks. He noted that the clinic will be open six days a week, with expanded Saturday hours.

Loehr is the second local business in as many months to announce a Farmers Park location. One Drop Coffee Co. moved into the space formerly occupied by The Press last month and expects to open in early October. Another major office tenant will be announcing their move to Farmers Park next week.

“The office space at Farmers Park is 100 percent leased, and we’re thrilled that a top local business like Loehr will be writing their next chapter here,” said Matt O’Reilly, development director at Green Circle Projects.

Loehr Chiropractic & Acupuncture was a finalist for the 2019 W. Curtis Strube Small Business Award and a Springfield Business Journal 2019 Economic Impact Award honoree.

The business, which employs 26 full-time and six contract employees, has enjoyed an annual growth rate of 40 percent in recent years. Services include chiropractic care, acupuncture, sports injury prevention and rehab, pregnancy wellness, holistic pediatrics and massage therapy.
