Press Release June 12, 2014
Dr. Johnson has 9 years of experience in the wellness industry. He began as a Licensed Massage Therapist before attending Logan College of Chiropractic where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic and Bachelor of Life Science. While attending Logan, he was exposed to the positive impact chiropractic care had on athletes. Johnson shared, “As a lifetime athlete and fitness enthusiast, the effect chiropractic had on my body was so profound that it lead me to change professions, so that I too could help others as I was once helped.”
Chiropractic care has shown to have significant impact on athletic performance. After a *12-week clinical investigation, athletes who received chiropractic care exhibited 30% improvement in areas including:
- Kinesthetic perception
- Power
- Reaction Time
- Agility
- Balance
Athletes in the control group who did not receive chiropractic care, did not see the same results (Lauro and Mouch).
“Chiropractic can help the athletes prevent/care for injuries, but also break through plateaus and truly fine tune their coordination and skill,“ Dr. Johnson stated. Dr. Johnson now uses his experience working with the University of Missouri athletics department through the Biofreeze Sports Rehabilitation Center to benefit local athletes.
