SPRINGFIELD, MO — Babies wearing cloth diapers and donning amber necklaces, fresh-pressed juice drinkers, and the aroma of essential oils are common themes amongst natural moms attending the many wellness classes offered at Loehr Health Center. The community room, located on the second-floor, has quickly become a haven for families seeking preventative health care and wellness information and networking with like-minded parents.

“Wellness education support for families is something we felt was extremely disconnected in our community. There wasn’t a central location where groups were welcome to meet and learn about how to raise a family naturally in a way that was consistent or actionable. We’ve been blessed by the many non-profits, individuals, and businesses who have partnered with our team to offer classes not only for our patients, but for the public too,” stated Marketing Director Brittany Zachary.

Since opening the 6,600 square-foot office in southeast Springfield last October, the team at Loehr Health Center has hosted numerous classes taught by its own doctors and partners including:

  • JuJuBabies—a Natural birth preparation series with Doula/Lactation Consultant/Birth Coach extraordinaire, Julie White
  • Real Diaper Association Circle Group
  • Springfield Babywearers
  • ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network)
  • Friends of Missouri Midwives
  • Mama Jean’s Market
  • Elizabeth’s Journey (*New for May!)

Details about each group and meeting information may be found on Loehr Health Center’s website. Many of the group meetings and classes are free to attend.
