Bio

Native to: Houston, MO

First job:
I worked at Subway my first summer in college. I worked the dinner shifts and was often the closer at the end of the night which consisted of cleaning the store and closing up the register each night.

Most influential person:
My parents and my granddad. My parents have always supported me and inspired me to be strong and work hard. My granddad, “Doc,” was the county veterinarian for many years and did house calls at all hours of the night. He always encouraged pursuing upper level education and was so excited when I decided to become a chiropractor. Watching both my granddad and my parents put in the hard work day in and day out taught me to have a good work ethic and to never take anything for granted.

Why I became a chiropractor:
I have wanted to be a doctor for as long as I can remember. I was always fascinated with science (especially anatomy and physiology) and knew I wanted to help people. It wasn’t until I was in college that I recognized that I wanted to become a chiropractor. Since I was studying nutrition, I came to the realization that I wanted to help people heal the most natural way possible and chiropractic was the perfect profession for that. I had always had wonderful experiences with chiropractic, and after shadowing some doctors, I knew that I had found my passion.

Modern convenience I couldn’t live without:
Electricity. I like to live comfortably and it’d be hard to without electricity to warm my apartment, cook my food and have light in the dark!

Favorite place to visit:
Any beach, but my favorite is in Cancun. The white sands and crystal clear water is beautiful.

Favorite way to spend weekend:
Playing card games and watching movies with my husband, Drake, and our two dogs. We also love going to Alamo Drafthouse to watch movies.
